ESS-3B0681 Post Medieval Thimble
Description
English: Post Medieval (18th-19th century) copper alloy thimble. The thimble is trapezoid in plan, with the edges expanding out slightly from the dome to the opening. The machined holes are regularly alligned in a lattice design. There is a wide band at the base, comprised of two double incised lines around the circumference, with a band of short diagonal lines inbetween. The thimble is 27.11mm long, has a diameter of 17.77mm and weighs 5.4 grams.
