עברית: תיאור סכמטי של ההשפעה של מחסום ארליך-שוובל בפני שטח שמקבילים למישור גבישי ראשי (סינגולריים). עיגולים בהירים – אטומי המצע או השכבה, עיגולים כהים – אדאטומים. העובי של החיצים הכחולים מציין את גודלו של שטף האדאטומים המגיע לשפת המדרגה (האי).
