Description

Das heute zur Firma Umform- und Fügetechnik Eisenach GmbH gehörende Areal war bis 1990 im westlichen Teil des einstigen Betriebsgeländes des Automobilwerkes Eisenach gelegen und blieb teilweise vom Abriß verschont - Befund 2016.

Im Gebäudekomplex, hier mit Zufahrt durch das ehemals bewachte Westtor des AWE-Werkes von der Wilhelm-Rinkens-Straße, befanden sich Bereiche des Containerumschlagplatzes, das Öllager, das Kraftstofflager sowie Nebengebäude und Lagerschuppen der Karosseriebau-Abteilung (zeitweise, bis zur Produktionsumlagerung in den Betriebnsteil Gries auch die Großteile-Presserei).
