[edit]DescriptionEAS equipment forward staged in Lithuania 151214-A-CY863-007.jpg |
English: Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 69th Armored Regiment and contractors from Army Material Command inventory the basic issue items for a M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank’s at Mumaiciai, Lithuania Dec. 14. The soldiers turned their equipment in as a part of establishing a forward storage site by U.S. Army Europe and Army Material Command. Having U.S. equipment stored forward within Allied and partner nations allows Regionally Allocated Forces easier access to that equipment when and where it is needed, saving time and resources to maximize the time available for training.
