  • Significance: The Ambrose Gleed Malthouse is historically important as one of the earliest surviving remnants of Dubuque's malting and brewing industry. Architecturally, it represents typical 19th century industrial style and structure. Numerous substantial alterations have compromised the structure's integrity, however, substantially decreasing its interpretive value.
