A U.S. Navy Douglas EA-3B Skywarrior of Fleet Air Reconnaissance 2 (VQ-2) "Batmen" in flight over the Gulf of Sidra. VQ-2 Det. A was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 1 (CVW-1) aboard the aircraft carrier USS America (CV-66) for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean from 24 April to 14 November 1984. This aircraft, "Ranger 14" (JQ-14), later made VQ-2's last catapult trap on the USS Coral Sea (CV-43) on 2 November 1987. LT Bill Steen was the pilot. |
