Description
Français : Suite du governement de Québec qui comprent en dessendant le fleuve Saint Laurent depuis la riviere Duchesne jusqu'à celle du Cas Rouge levée en 1709 par les ordres de Monseigneur le Comte de Ponchartrain commendeur des ordres du Roy Ministre et Secrétaire Destat par le Sr. Catalogne Lieutenant des troupes et dressée par Jean Baptiste Decouragne. [cartographic material] Informations provenant de l'ancienne base de données : "La première est une copie d'un original au Dépot Général des Cartes, Plans et Journaux de la Marine, portefeuille 127, Div. 2, p. 1 à 5. La deuxième est un fac-similé par A.E.B. Courchesne-Février 1921-impression en bleu. La troisième copie se trouve dans un atlas manuscript fait par P.L. Morin. La carte indique le nom des propriétaires des lots et les seigneuries comprises dans le district de Trois-Rivières. Gédéon de Catalogne mit deux à trois ans à préparer trois excellentes cartes décrivant l'étendue de toutes les seigneuries dans les districts de Québec, Trois-Rivières et Montréal. Les deux premières ont été préservées mais celle de Montréal fut perdue en mer. Cette carte est d'une très grande utilité pour la généalogie. Partie supérieure gauche : 1 l'écusson de Louis Phélipaux, comte de Pontchartrain, Ministre de la Colonie 1690-99. Armes : "Ecartelé: au 1 et 4, d'azur semé de roses d'or, au franc quartier d'hermine; au 2 et 3, de sinople à trois lézards montants de sinople"."
