Summary
[edit]DescriptionDyke, Farmland and Settlement - geograph.org.uk - 1414217.jpg |
English: Dyke, Farmland and Settlement Looking over the dyke (dry stone wall) to farmland beyond. A deserted crofthouse to the right and the hamlet of buildings between Hullion and Newhouse in the centre of the view. Could be mistaken for the Yorkshire Dales, or the White Peak in Derbyshire, couldn't it? The white stone isn't limestone though: it's lovely red sandstone with a covering of grey-white lichen. |
