Description
English: Overlooking the confluence of mighty chambal and Yamuna rivers stands a fort belonging to Raja Rup Singh and is said to be 1000 years old.The fort is located in Bhareh village of Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh.The fort got destroyed while resisting the might of British Raj in the first war of Indian independence,1857 yet still standing.

Raja Rup Singh joined hands with the like of Rani Lakshmi bai and Tataya Tope.It is said that Raja Rup Singh abandoned his fort In the night to escape the heavy bombardment by British forces which destroyed this fort. Presently the fort is in dire need of restoration and protection.

We must act accordingly in order to protect this dying heritage before it gets too late.
