Summary
[edit]DescriptionDyfi Eco-park - geograph.org.uk - 606083.jpg |
English: Dyfi Eco-park The entrance to the Eco-park which has a concentration of eco-related industries. The park is sponsored by the Welsh Development Agency.
The building in view is the old terminus of the Corris Railway which brought slate down to the main-line interchange from the network of mines in the Corris and Aberllefenni areas. The Corris railway was closed in 1948 after flood damage caused by a flooded R. Dovey. A section at Corris has now been reopened as a tourist railway but it is unlikely to ever be rebuilt back to Machynlleth (or will it?). |
