So today, I met up with a friend named Russ and we spent the morning, and best part of the afternoon, photographing Durdle Door. At 8am, the sky was still blue, with nothing in the way of colour of depth, so we waited, and waited and waited. The weather forecast had been for glorious blue skies from dawn till dusk, yet as 8.30am arrived, still nothing. Then...wham. The sun pulled its way above a low lying storm out to see and lit up the Man O' War Beach in glorious shades of orange and red and all things warm. The sea, with thanks to my dinner-plate sized polariser, remained its natural colour, a great cyan contrast with the orange all around. I managed to capture the entire beach as it swept around the bay, flanked by a line of beautiful rocks.
