Summary
[edit]DescriptionDunsfold Aerodrome - geograph.org.uk - 171442.jpg |
English: Dunsfold Aerodrome. This disused aerodrome is now home to an industrial park where most units are dedicated to servicing high performance and racing vehicles. Fans of the BBC series Top Gear will also recognise this as the location where the series records many of its external tests - indeed, the Top Gear studio 171446 is located in one of the old hangars. The start/finish line for many of the show's series' races is on the track towards the right of the picture and indeed the blue Chevrolet Lacetti, used for "Star in a reasonably priced car" is actually just visible behind the small tree in the foreground.
The aerodrome is now closed for public use and is under private ownership. Unfortunately the weather was terrible on the day the picture was taken. |
