Summary
[edit]DescriptionDunfermline City Chambers - geograph.org.uk - 221950.jpg |
English: Dunfermline City Chambers.
The foundation stone of Dunfermline City Chambers was laid on the 11th of October 1876 and it took a little over two and a half years to complete. Costing in the region of £20 000, it was designed by the prominent Edinburgh architect, James C. Walker, in the then fashionable mixture of Scottish Baronial and French Gothic. This picture shows the east side of the building and in the background the west tower of Dunfermline Abbey. |
