Summary

Description

NPS/Patrick Myers

Rain showers fell on the valley and fresh snow blanketed the mountains over the weekend, helping a little to alleviate the effects of this year's drought. Even though there's little flow now in Medano Creek, you'll find water at San Luis Lakes, west of the dunefield. This diverse landscape - from wetlands to dunes to alpine tundra - inspires wonder in all those that experience it!
