English: Dudley No 1 Canal - Delph Lock No1 The top lock on the Delph flight. When originally constructed by Thomas Dadford, Senior in 1779 there were nine locks. These proved difficult to work and the flight was replaced in 1855 by a new flight of eight locks on a straighter alignment. |
