Description

Waterfowl hunters played a key role in the establishment of the National Wildlife Refuge System and have continued their support for over one hundred years. Duck hunting traditions involve getting together with family and friends in the early morning light to set out decoys, seeing the sun rise and hearing the ducks in the dark as they circle the wetland or fly the river, watching the dog make a great retrieve, and the shared meals that follow after the hunt.
