English: Queen Anne Patent appointing Jonathan Swift to the Deanery of St. Patrick's Cathedral, exhibited in the south aisle of St. Patrick's Cathedral behind glass. Quote from the close information panel: Queen Anne (depicted in the upper left hand corner) appointed Jonathan Swift to the Deanery of St Patrick's on May 6, 1713, and he was installed on June 13 of that same year. This historic vellum document is the patent of warrant of Swift's appointment. The name – Jonathan Swift – can be discerned in the upper part of the writing.
