Summary
[edit]DescriptionDublin Broadstone railway station (site) and LUAS stop (geograph 7023856).jpg |
English: Dublin Broadstone railway station (site) and LUAS stop Opened in 1847 by the Midland & Great Western Railway, this station closed to passengers in 1937 (when trains were diverted to 'Westland Row', now 'Pearse' station), and completely in 1961. It continued in use for public transportation, and was a CIÉ bus garage when this image was taken. View north at the forecourt. The LUAS tram stop opened in 2014 and utilises the former railway line on its route to Broombridge. |
