Description
English: Dubh Alltan One of two Dubh Altans in the area, (the Dubh Altan Beag is on the Aberdeenshire side of the watershed), this burn off the ridges of Carn Bhac becomes the Garbh Buidhe before contributing to the Tilt. A story has it that there was a landgrab here once, when Mar tried to divert the burn into the Bynack, thus moving the watershed and the Atholl march someway southwards. The plan was foiled in a skirmish.
