| Description |
English: Dry section of Wendover Arm The Wendover Arm of the Grand Union Canal was constructed to provide a reservoir of water for the canal. However, this section leaked and often had the opposite effect of draining water from the main canal. Nearly 100 years ago, it was replaced by a pipe in the bed of the canal, and this remains the situation today. However, restoration work is taking place and this is the works access point to the bed of the canal. The towpath to the right is a public footpath. |
