SHAMBHALA MUSIC FESTIVAL DRAWS THOUSANDS Express issue: August 13th, 2003, page 8. "Shambhala Music Festival, the largest gathering in the Kootenays, offers 500 acres, 3 nights of dancing and camping, and 200,000 watts of sound. There is a mini film festival, a glacial river, six unique stages, live music, world class DJ's and MC's, lantern parade, 40 watt yag lazer, and hot air baloon rides. More than 7000 people from all over the world, all lovers of dance music will make the pilgrimage to the Kootenays to dance amongst the trees and the mountains, and experience true self expression." Photo credit to Nelson Becker. ... Shambhala is now one of the biggest music festivals in North America. Although it was a smaller festival at the time of this photograph. The festival has happened every August in Salmo B.C for 21 years and counting, and it gets bigger every time. Shambhala is important to the region because it brings lots of tourists to the area every summer. The festival also funds local arts and culture institutions such as the Selkirk College School of Music and Technology. |

The Public Domain Mark (PDM) is not a copyright license, but a symbol used to indicate that a work is in the public domain. When it is applied by the author or the copyright holder, community consensus has decided such works as being public domain in the US and countries where it is legally possible to release own work to the public domain. In the countries where this is not possible, the copyright status of the work remains undetermined.
| ||
If a file is tagged with Public Domain Mark by someone other than the author or the copyright holder, a more specific copyright tag such as one found at Commons:Copyright tags/General public domain must be applied. If this is your own work, please use {{Cc-zero}} instead.
