Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Drowned woodland, Gosling Carr As the Robin Hood Way drops down from Blackcliffe Hill Plantation, heading north-west towards the River Meden, it passes through an area of woodland in which all the trees have died. The area appears to be at a lower level than the river, and is presumably prone to flooding. But what has changed? The trees obviously used to grow without difficulty.
