Summary
[edit]DescriptionDrosera bug.jpg |
English: Miridae: Setocoris sp Drosera bug
Order: Hemiptera Suborder: Heteroptera Family: Miridae subfamily: [?] genus: Setocoris This small fellow is quite sneaky. I think that it takes advantage of the insects in the drosera as I found it hanging around the leaves of the drosera photographed here. I also noted one on a trigger plant (Stylidium) a few days ago. The Stylidium plants sometimes have glandular hairs on their calyx on which I have seen insects stuck to the glandular substance. About 3mm (<1/4") Plant - Drosera hyperostigma - associated with this bug |
