| Description |
English: Dropping down to Middleton on the Pennine Way Walking north on the Pennine Way, a good path merges with a farm track shortly above the valley floor, and crosses a convex break of slope to reveal a view of the buildings round the junction to the Holwick road. The walker will pass Rock Villa and Gatehouse Cottage on his or her left, to join the road past the cattle market (visible on the left), over the River Tees and into Middleton with its tea shops. |
