Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen og hans gønger er kommet til Isefjord med herskabet fra Gjorslev Slot, der nu skal nu sejle videre til København. Men da Svend Poulsen kommer ned til stranden for at hidkalde en båd, hører han to mænd snakke. Det er adelsmanden Hannibal Sehested, der beder skipper Bagge sige til kongen, at han sender vine og levnedsmidler fra en ven. Hannibal Sehested vil ikke sige sit navn men siger, at skipper Bagge kan omtale hans våben. Svend Poulsen (ca. 1610 - ca. 1679) og Hannibal Sehested (1609-1666) var virkelige personer, men historien er fiktion.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, and his gønger has come to Isefjord with noble people of the Gjorslev Castle who are now going to sail to Copenhagen. But when Svend Poulsen goes to the beach to call for a boat he hears two men talking. It is the nobleman Hannibal Sehested who asks skipper Bagge to tell the king that he sends wines ans and food from a friend. Hannibal Sehested won tell his name but says that skipper Bagge may mentions his coat of arms. Svend Poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) and Hannibal Sehested (1609-1666) were real persons but the story is fiction.
