Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen og hans gønger er på vej fra Gjorslev Slot til Isefjord med herskabet, der er på flugt fra svenskerne. Efter en langt ridt ankommer de til fiskeren Davids hytte, hvor de overnatter. Imens holder Ib Abelsøn vagt, men den svenske oberst Per Leijon, der har været på jagt, kommer forbi. Han vil ikke gå væk, så de kæmper mod hinanden. Ib Abelsøn forsøger uden held at løfte Per Leijon, der så selv løfter Ib Abelsøn til dennes overraskelse.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, and his gønger are on their way from the Gjorslev Castle to Isefjord with the noble people who are fleeing from the Swedes. After a long ride they arrives at the hut of the fisherman David to stay for the night. Meanwhile Ib Abelsøn Ib Abelsøn is standing guard but the Swedish colonel Per Leijon is passing by returning from a hunt. He wont leave so they fights. Ib Abelsøn tries to lift Per Leijon without luck before the latter lifts the surprised Ib Abelsøn himself. |
