Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen og hans gønger har været på Gjorslev Slot for at befri Ib Abelsøn. De tager væk sammen med adelskvinden Elsebeth Buchwald, hendes datter Karen Kaas og nevøen Holger Rud, som længe har villet flygte. Den næste dags aften ankommer de til en fattig hytte, hvor de vil overnatte. De bliver mødt af fiskeren David, der tager venligt imod dem, selvom han ikke synes at smile meget.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, and his gønger has been at the Gjorslev Castle to free Ib Abelsøn. They leaves together with the noble woman Elsebeth Buchwald, her daughter Karen Kaas og the nephew Holger Rud who has wanted to flee for a long time. In the evening the next day they arrives at a poor hut to stay for the night. They are greeted by the fisherman David who is friendly to them but doesn't seems to smile that much. |
