Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn er blevet fanget af de svenske soldater på Gjorslev Slot og er blevet tvunget op på tårnets tag af den tyske kaptajn Esner i svensk tjeneste har så tvunget ham op på tårnets tag. Her har Ib Abelsøn imidlertid sikrer sig med sit bælte, så han ikke styrter ned. Hønsedrengen Palle finder så på, at Ib Abelsøns ravn Plus, som han tager sig af, kan flyve op til ham med noget mad. Det bliver gentaget nogle gange, så Ib Abelsøn overlever i stedet for at dø af sult, sådan som kaptajn Esner havde forventet.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn has been captured by the Swedish soldiers at the Gjorslev Castle and has been forced up to the roof of the tower by the German captain Esner in Swedish service. Ib Abelsøn however has secured himself against falling down with his belt. The chicken boy Palle then figures out that the raven Plus of Ib Abelsøn of which he takes care can fly up to him with some food. They do it a few times so that Ib Abelsøn survives instead of dying of hunger as captain Esner expected him to do. |
