Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn er blevet fanget af de svenske soldater på Gjorslev Slot og er blevet tvunget op på tårnets tag af den tyske kaptajn Esner i svensk tjeneste har så tvunget ham op på tårnets tag. Her har Ib Abelsøn imidlertid sikrer sig med sit bælte, så han ikke styrter ned. Hønsedrengen Palle tænker over, hvordan han kan skaffe Ib Abelsøn noget at spise. Han finder omsider ud af, at Ib Abelsøns ravn Plus, som han tager sig af, kan flyve op til ham med maden. Han sætter så buret med Plus i en loftsluge, så ravnen kan se hvor dens herre er.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn has been captured by the Swedish soldiers at the Gjorslev Castle and has been forced up to the roof of the tower by the German captain Esner in Swedish service. Ib Abelsøn however has secured himself against falling down with his belt. The chicken boy Palle thinks about how he can get Ib Abelsøn somethings to eat. At last he figures out that the raven Plus of Ib Abelsøn of which he takes care can fly up to him with the food. He then places the cage with Plus in ahatchway so that the raven can where its master is.
