Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn er blevet fanget af de svenske soldater på Gjorslev Slot, hvor han havde skjult sig for dem. Den tyske kaptajn Esner i svensk tjeneste har så tvunget ham op på tårnets tag, hvor alle kan se ham, og hvor han risikerer at styrte ned fra. Nede i gården har Ib Abelsøns kæreste Inger fortvivlet set til efter selv at være blevet torteret som lokkemad og brugt som gidsel. En af de svenske soldater kommer hen til hende for at følge hende ud af slottet og råder hende til at finde sig en anden kæreste.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn has been captured by the Swedish soldiers at the Gjorslev Castle after hiding from them. The German captain Esner in Swedish service Ib Abelsøn then forced him up to the roof of the tower where everyone can see him and where he risc to fall down. Doen in the courtyard the girlfriend of Ib Abelsøn, Inger, has looked at in despair aften being tortured as a bait and used as a hostage herself. One of the Swedish soldiers comes to her to follow her out of the castle and advises her to find another boyfriend.

Ib Abelsøn a été capturé par les soldats suédois au château de Gjorslev après s'être caché. Le capitaine allemand Esner du service suédois Ib Abelsøn l'a alors forcé à monter sur le toit de la tour où tout le monde peut le voir et où il risque de tomber. Dans la cour, Inger, amoureuse d'Ib Abelsøn a regardé la scène avec désespoir après avoir été torturée comme appât et utilisée elle-même comme otage. Un des soldats suédois vient la voir pour la conduire hors du château et lui conseille de se trouver un autre petit ami. |
