Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn har skjult sig for de svenske soldater på Gjorslev Slot efter et mislykket forsøg på at hjælpe herskabet med at flygte. Den onde Kulsoen har imidlertid opdaget, at han har gemt sig oppe i tårnet. Hun får også den tyske kaptajn Esner i svensk tjeneste til at sende en rytter ud efter Ib Abelsøns kæreste Inger, så de kan bruge hende som lokkedue. Kaptajn Esner torturerer Inger ved at sammensnøre hendes fingre og dreje en ladestok om mellem dem, så hun skriger af smerte. Kulsoen siger til Ib Abelsøn, at han hellere må kommer ned, hvis Inger ikke skal miste sin fingre.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn has hidden from the Swedish forces at the Gjorslev Castle after unsuccessful attempt at helping the noble people fleeing. The evil Kulsoen however has noticed that he is hiding in the tower. She also get the German captain Esner in Swedish service to send a horseman for the girlfriend of Ib Abelsøn, Inger, so that they can use her as a bait. Captain Esner tortures Inger by lacing up her fingers and turn a ramrod between them so that she screams in pain. Kulsoen says to Ib Abelsøn that he better has to come down or Inger may loses her fingers.
