Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn har skjult sig for de svenske soldater på Gjorslev Slot efter et mislykket forsøg på at hjælpe herskabet med at flygte. Den onde Kulsoen har imidlertid opdaget, at han har gemt sig oppe i tårnet. Kaptajn Esner sender den stærke soldat Olaf derop, der lover at have Ib Abelsøn med tilbage i sin bukselomme. Men Olaf bliver kvæstet i forsøget, så to andre soldater må hjælpe ham ned. Kaptajn Esner spøger med, at de skal se efter i hans lommer, om han har Ib Abelsøn med, som han lovede.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn has hidden from the Swedish forces at the Gjorslev Castle after unsuccessful attempt at helping the noble people fleeing. The evil Kulsoen however has noticed that he is hiding in the tower. Captain Esner sends the strong Olaf who promises to come back with Ib Abelsøn in his trouser pocket. But Olaf become injured during the attempt so that two other soldiers has to help him down. Captain Esner jokes that they should look after in his pockets to see if he has Ib Abelsøn with him as promised. |
