Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Adelskvinden Elsebeth Buchwald, hendes datter Karen Kaas og nevøen Holger Rud er ved at flygte fra de svenske soldater på Gjorslev Slot. Ved midnat går de ned til voldgraven, hvor Ib Abelsøn venter med en båd til at føre dem over med. Men den onde Kulsoen skyder og alarmerer nogle svenske officerer, der fester på slottet. Adelsfolkene skynder sig ind i slottet, mens Ib Abelsøn forsøger at komme væk. Men den svenske kaptajn Esner råber, at han skal stoppe, og truer ham med seks skytter oppe fra volden. Flere af officererne sigter også på ham.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. The noblewoman Elsebeth Buchwald, her daughter Karen Kaas and the nephew Holger Rud are about to flee from the Swedish forces at the Gjorslev Castle. At midnight they goes down to the moat where Ib Abelsøn is waiting with a boat for them. But the evil Kulsoen shoots and alarms some Swedish officers who are partying at the castle. The noble people hurries inside the castle while Ib Abelsøn attempts to flee. But the Swedish captain Esner screams that he should stop and threats him with six gunners from the rampart. Some of the officers are also aiming at him.
