The German captain Esner in Swedish service and his 25 soldiers has come to the Gjorslev Castle and gotten quartering. At first captain Esner appears pleasant but then he begins to take still more of the silverware of Elsebeth Buchwald, claiming that it is for his girlfriend. Holger Rud, the nephew of Elsbeth Buchwald, confronts captain Esner but he notices a silverpibe which he claims he has long wanted and takes as well. Then he blows a kiss and leaves the room. |
