Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen og Ib Abelsøn har været på Søholm Slot for at hente adelskvinden Elsebeth Buchwalds skjulte skatte. De har udgivet sig for at være den døde kapellan Tanges far og bror, så de kunne komme ind og skjule skattene i den kiste en bonde var kommet med. Nu tager de afsted inden de svenske soldater på slottet lukker porten. Svenskerne ved intet om skatten og heller ikke at de har efterladt den onde Kulsoen som fange på slottet. Søholm blev revet ned omkring 1715, så udseendet kan godt være tegnerens fantasi.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, and Ib Abelsøn has been at the Søholm Castle to hole the hidden treasures of the noblewoman Elsebeth Buchwald. They pretended to be the father and the brother of the dead curate Tange to get in and hide the treasures in the coffin a peasant came with. Now they leaves before the Swedish soldiers at the castle closes the gate. The Swedes don't know about the treasure and that they left the evil Kulsoen as a prisoner at the castle. Søholm was pulled down around 1715 so the look may be the imagination of the artist. |
