Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Gøngehøvdingen Svend Poulsen og Ib Abelsøn er kommet til Søholm Slot for at hente adelskvinden Elsebeth Buchwalds skjulte skatte. De udgiver sig for at være den døde kapellan Tanges far og bror, mens den onde Kulsoen udgiver sig for at være Tanges mor for selv at få del i skattene. Ib Abelsøn og den bonde de kørte med bærer kisten ind i hallen, hvor Tange ligger, og skattene er gemte. Svend Poulsen og Kulsoen ser til imens. Svend Poulsen (ca. 1610 - ca. 1679) var en virkelig person, men historien er fiktion. Svend Poulsens udseende er også fantasi, for der kendes ingen portrætter af ham.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Svend Poulsen, Gøngehøvdingen, and Ib Abelsøn has come to the Søholm Castle to hole the hidden treasures of the noblewoman Elsebeth Buchwald. They pretends to be the father and brother of the dead curate Tange, while the evil Kulsoen pretends to be the mother of Tange to get a part of the treasure for herself. Ib Abelsøn and the peasant they came with bears the coffin into the hall where Tange as well as the hidden treasures are. Svend Poulsen and Kulsoen looks at them. Svend Poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) was a real person but the story is fiction. The look of Svend Poulsen is also fantasy as there is no known portraits of him.
