English: Excursions To Port Douglas.
The building of the Port Douglas road has opened up to the fortunate inhabitants of North Queensland scenery of unsurpassed beauty. No one should miss the opportunity bf seeing the glorious sweep of. Buchan's Point Beach, the unique beauty of Pebbley Beach, made up of colored pebbles as smooth as glass. On the left, as one travels in the smooth running bus. are the towering mountains and on the right the shimmering Pacific One crosses the lovely valley of the Mowbray River, which bursts with tropical verdure. An exhilarating run in the bus along the Port Douglas Beach and one is in Port Douglas. Excellent bathing may be indulged in from the beach. One returns in the cool of the evening, with the Pacific assuming soft shades of blue and grey and purple. On Sunday the Parramatta-West End bus leaves on this wonderful trip.
