Notes driving band from shell, WW1 Collection of 4-783 Sapper Arthur Lush served on Gallipoli with the NZ Field Engineers, 1NZEF. Arthur, son of Mrs CE Lush of Green Lane Auckland, was an employee of the Public Works Department (based at Lake Coleridge) when he enlisted with the Field Engineers in 1915. Sapper Lush embarked with the 4th Reinforcements, sailing from Wellington on 17 April 1915 and saw service on Gallipoli.
