Description |
English: A stone fountain stands at the end of a stone wall, bordering a parking lot. Brinegar Cabin - Doughton Park. The landscape of the Brinegar Cabin serves as an interpretive site to the life and activities of a nineteenth-century Appalachian farm. Many of the small-scale features also reflect park development of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The rustic stone drinking fountain and other stone elements date to the period of parkway construction and contribute to the feeling of the Brinegar Cabin roadside exhibit (1933-1987).
