English: Dreweat's Lock - No.79 - K&A Canal nr. Kintbury Also spelled Drewett's.
The River Kennet runs into the canal at Kintbury and out again about half a mile further down resulting in high levels on the canal in wet conditions. Any boater who has had the misfortune to be caught on the spill weir above the lock, only just visible on the right, will be well aware of this! Water shortages are very unusual on the canal after this point. Also see 127865 |
