Панагия патриарха Иоасафа

Между великокняжескими и царскими регалиями в Оружейной палате находится и патриаршая панагия, прекрасная по работе и драгоценная по материалам. Лицевую ее сторону украшает оправленный в золото камей из большого хризопраза, на коем вырезан образ Успения Богоматери, храмовой Патриархии. Греческая надпись обнаруживает греческое изделие, которое московским художником вставлено в панагию, украшено драгоценными камнями и финифтью, ознаменовано русскими надписями. С обратной стороны открывается половинка, на коей наведены чернью следующие надписи, крестообразно размещенные: и мощи святого мученика Евстафия Плакиды, святого мученика Меркурия, преподобного Александра Свирского, великомученика Пантелеймона. В середине читаете: Лtта /--зр`од повелtнїемъ Великаго Гспд`на Святtйшаго Iоасафа Патрїарха Московскаго ї всеа Росиї здtлана сїя панагtя. Год (1671) показывает, что она принадлежала седьмому патриарху Московскому Иоасафу II, хиротонисанному из архимандритов Троице-Сергиевой лавры 29 декабря 1667 г. и скончавшемуся 17 февраля 1672 г. Неизвестно только, по какому случаю этот знак святительства поступил в Оружейную палату, а не в Патриаршую ризницу.
