Крест и братина, находящиеся в селе Измайлове На рисунке представляются два памятника из подмосковного села Измайлова, где живали летом цари Михаил Федорович, сын его Алексей и внук Федор с семейством своим, где проводил свои детские лета Петр I, отыскавший там ботик, дедушку российского флота. Сии памятники, не многоценные, но важные по своему значению в народной жизни: резной из дерева, позолоченный и расцвеченный крест и братина, окрашенная по левкасу. Они срисованы в 1837 г. на месте г. Солнцевым. По всему вероятию, что эта святыня и домашняя утварь принадлежали к дворцовому обиходу, от которого остатки хранятся в собраниях отечественных древностей Оружейной палаты, князей М.А. Оболенского, П.Ф. Карабанова и М.П. Погодина. Четырехконечный крест этот не запрестольный, не напрестольный, но, по-видимому, он осенял какой-нибудь кивот в дворцовой церкви. Братины, напоминающие своим названием и значением братство и круговые чаши, в старину составляли не только необходимую столовую утварь, но даже известную меру жидкостей. Обыкновенно форма их была круглая, кубовастая, наподобие горшочка. Делались они из золота, серебра, меди и олова, чеканные, гладкие, чешуйчатые, грановитые, дорожчатые, ложчатые с травами, проводками, личинами, мишенями, плащами, с чернью, финифтью, иногда с драгоценными камнями. Нередко их ободок или венчик украшался надписью, означающей имя владельца или какое-нибудь нравоучительное изречение. В крестьянском быту они устраивались большей частью из дерева. Измайловская братина простотой вещества соответствовала простоте жизни наших государей в сельском родовом приюте, где у них столовая посуда была деревянная и оловянная. |
