English: Dress, wedding (.1), cream silk brocade, sprigged; lace mittens (.2.1 - .2); quilted undershirt (.3), (modern), machine made lace, added. wedding dress of Helen McCaw, b.1730, to Andrew Thompson, b.1719, in 1749 wedding dress of Helen McCaw (born 1730) married Andrew Thompson (born 1719) in 1749. cream brocade sprigged lace mittens white wig quilted underskirt modern machine made lace added “WEDDING DRESS (MAPPIN) pale blue-cream silk brocaded and sprigged in pinks, reds, greens. long bodice opening down front. ¾ sleeves banded and trimmed around the elbows – skirt pleated on to bodice and cut up in bodice ‘en fourreau’ – Skirt falls apart to show petticoat and chemise shows under bodice. Bodice lined – Modern frill down front and neck.”
