English: Wedding dress worn by Miss H. McMath at her wedding in 1879 or 1880 at Cambridge, N.Z. The dress was made at Rattrays, Queen Street, Auckland. cream satin with bustle and train; train has lace edged hem; front skirt has three rows of pleating at hem and four groups of gathering; pleated piece across hips at front joins into bustle; buttoned down front from neck to hipline; ling sleeves; high neck CREAM SATIN DRESS - WEDDING DRESS one piece dress with bustle and train. Long tight fitted bodice with high banded neck - front opening covered buttons – long sleeves cuffless – back shaping falls to tabs over bustle top. Lined. Skirt at front swathed below hips with tiered pleating below bustle at back finishing in small train edged with cotton machine-made lace. Lined.
