Description
Deutsch: Paul Heermann schuf das Puttopaar 1712 als Teil eines vierteiligen Zyklus, der in der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts in die Leipziger Sammlung des Johann Thomas Richter gelangte, wo er ab 1768 nachweisbar war. Später wurde der Zaklus veräußert. Lange Zeit über waren nur Gipsabgüsse des Zyklus bekannt.
English: Paul Heermann created the pair of putti in 1712 as part of a four-part cycle that entered the Leipzig collection of Johann Thomas Richter in the second half of the 18th century, where it can be traced from 1768. Later, the zaklus was sold. For a long time, only plaster casts of the cycle were known.
