Dreer's Select Gladiolus Gladiolus are universally appreciated as most useful and satisfactory for garden display and for cutting. Make successive plantings for a continuous display. They do best in a moderately rich, well-drained soil with full exposure to the sun. Plant the corms in an upright position and cover with 2 to 4 in. of fine soil. Provide stakes and string for their support. 46-111 Aflame. Splendid long spikes with showy giant flame red flowers. 46-123 Albatros. A tall snow white without a trace of any other color. 46-147 Bagdad. Very pleasing smoky old rose blooms of large size. 46-159 Beacon. Clear bright rose- scarlet with large creamy blotch in the throat. Exceptionally showy. 46-168 Berty Snow. Exquisite, large, bright rosy lavender blooms, lighter in the throat. Dreer's Superior These mixtures are made up of in- numerable giant-flowering sorts of ail colors. The larger sizes will quite nat- urally produce somewhat larger spikes than the smaller ones, and the latter should not be planted too late in the season.
