English: Drax Wall inside Charborough Park Drax Wall taken from inside Charborough Park (private so permission was sought).
About 8 feet high, enough to mask most of the traffic on the A31, it is quiet and safe this side, another world. The buttresses are about 10 feet apart. Widening the road would mean removing a landmark built in 1841 containing 2 million bricks. |
