Sleeping hermaphrodite with three infants.

The drawing formed part of Charles Townley's reference collection of drawings of ancient sculptures.

The original statue was acquired by Henry Blundell and is now in Liverpool. Blundell had the hermaphrodite transformed into a sleeping Venus by removing the figure's penis and the three infants. The drawing records the statue's condition before these alterations.[1]
