English: Horizontal rectangle. The male figure of Chronos, Time, shown in profile with wings and a long beard at left, lowers the baby Cupid onto a rock. The goddess Venus sits at the rock's summit, facing forward, sandals on her feet and jewelry at her neck, her face turned towards Chronos and the baby. She sits upon a pile of drapery. Behind her, another nude female figure kneels. Behind the two women are two cupids at left, one carrying a horn, and a soldier with decorated shield at right. In the foreground, at right, a snake curls around the edge of a broken wagon axel, a white bird prepares to alight on the ground below the snake. In the background at right, a rocky landscape with architectural ruins. The figure of a vulture on a pedestal at right, caryatid figure at right edge.
