English: Young girl is seated in a bentwood canned chair in fromn of a table. She appears to be either sewing or embroidering. From Catalogue Card: Vertical rectangle. A young girl is seated near a table. Her head is seen in profile, facing right, and bent forward over her sewing. Dated lower left: "Sept. 8th 1883." Inscription by artist, originally framed with drawing, now on mount: "Marian making a birthday present for her mamma / M. H. F. / Point lookout / Sept. 8th '83."
